About

Our project is dedicated to showcasing unique restaurants, cafes, and bakeries and their talented entrepreneurs that reside outside of Manitoba cities. We know that the hundreds of places in small towns across our province that are creating these unique environments and local dishes are, sadly, often overlooked by the average foodie, but you have no idea what you’re missing. We hope that our project will give you a push to drive past the perimeter and see and taste for yourselves the wonderful food rural manitoba has to offer and hear the stories of people who live there. So get out of the city and seek out new places to enjoy a plate of food. And don’t just go for the food- share in the wealth of stories, scenery, and entertainment and that rural Manitoba has to offer. We promise, you won’t regret it.

Happy travels!

As for a suggestion – the Ninga Cafe in Ninga, Manitoba (between Boissevain and Killarney). Amazing soups and up to eight different kinds of pie a day. Highly recommended.
